Privacy, terms & disclosure
How Snagfit handles your photos, the terms for using the app, and how it's paid when you buy something. Plain language, no fine print you need a lawyer to read.
Affiliate disclosure
When you tap "buy" on an item, Snagfit sends you straight to that retailer's own product page in a new tab. Snagfit does not currently earn a commission, a referral fee, or any other payment from that link or from your purchase. If that changes, this line changes with it and the footer of every page will say so too, in line with FTC guidance on endorsements and disclosures (16 CFR Part 255).
Snagfit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or brand shown in your search results. Product listings come from public shopping search data, not from a paid placement deal.
Privacy
A photo you upload is sent to Snagfit's detection service, which is Google's Gemini vision model, to identify the garments in it. Your photo is never published, posted, sold, or shown to another visitor, and it is never used to train any AI model.
If you are signed in, the photo and the items found in it are saved to your account so you can reopen a past search. Only you can see them. You can delete any saved photo from your history at any time, and deleting it removes both the picture and its results. If you are not signed in, nothing is saved to an account.
You do not need an account to use Snagfit. Signing in with Google is optional and exists only to save your history. When you do sign in, Google tells Snagfit your account identifier so your saved photos can be matched back to you.
A copy of each upload and the items detected in it is also emailed to Snagfit's own operations inbox, so a person can see how the app is performing and fix bad results. Those emails are not shared outside Snagfit.
Saved alongside each upload is a short record of the request that sent it: your IP address, the approximate city and country our network provider works out from that address, the internet provider you were on, your browser and operating system, your language setting, and the page you arrived from. It is kept for as long as the photo is kept, and deleting the photo deletes it too. Only Snagfit's owner can read it, and it is used to understand where the app is being used and to investigate abuse. Nobody else sees it, and it is never sold or shared.
The site uses standard server logs (like any web server) to keep the service running and to catch errors, and it uses two analytics tools: Google Analytics, which counts visits and which features get used, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through the pages so we can see where the app is confusing. Neither tool receives your uploaded photo. Snagfit does not sell personal data to third parties.
To ask what is stored about you, or to have it deleted, email hello@snagfit.me.
Terms of use
Snagfit is provided free, as-is, with no account and no subscription. Garment matches are generated by AI and by shopping search results, so an exact match is not guaranteed. Always confirm price, size, and availability on the retailer's own page before buying, since Snagfit has no part in that purchase or in fulfillment, returns, or customer service for anything you buy.
Using Snagfit means you agree not to upload a photo you don't have the right to use, and not to use the app to scrape, resell, or republish its results at scale. These terms may be updated as the app grows; the "Updated" date in the footer of this page always reflects the most recent change to it.
